Pressure Injury Prevention
Pressure injuries are now being specifically audited by Ministry of Health Designated Auditing Agencies (DAA’s) in 2016. All age-related residential care provides will be required to notify under s31 pressure injuries grade 3, 4, unstageable and suspected deep tissue injuries. (S31 reporting form). Auditor are also instructed to look at pressure injury prevention programmes.
